These Slow Cooker Sticky Barbecue Pork Ribs feature generously sauced pork ribs cooked low and slow until profoundly tender, allowing sweet and smoky barbecue flavours to deeply infuse the meat.

The sticky finish creates a glossy, flavour‑packed coating that pairs beautifully with classic sides like coleslaw or roasted vegetables.

Perfect for relaxed family dinners or weekend gatherings, this recipe celebrates succulent ribs that are rich, satisfying and full of crowd‑pleasing barbecue appeal.

Ingredients

  • 1.5kg American-style pork ribs
  • 1 cup good quality smoky BBQ sauce (American style)
  • ¼ cup mild American mustard
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon Mexican Taco seasoning
  • Coleslaw, to serve

Method

  1. Cut ribs into serving-sized (about 2-3 ribs each) portions. Pat ribs dry using paper towel.

  2. Combine BBQ sauce, mustard, honey and taco seasoning in a large bowl. Add ribs and toss to coat well with sauce.

  3. Place ribs into a 5.5L (or larger) slow cooker and cook for 4 hours on high or until very tender.

  4. Heat a grill on high heat. Transfer ribs onto a large baking tray lined with foil. Brush ribs with the leftover sauce from the slow cooker. Grill for 10-12 minutes or until glossy.

  5. Serve with coleslaw.
