Honey, Soy & Ginger Pork Stir-Fry
Discover a quick-cooking, flavour-packed pork stir fry recipe that showcases a tender cut of pork in every bite. As the stir fry sauce thickens, it glazes the pork tenderloin perfectly, while vibrant slices of red pepper, crisp carrots and green onions add freshness and crunch. Finish with sesame seeds for the perfect meal.
Ingredients
- 500g Otway Pork loin steaks, cut into 1cm-thick slices
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 3 crushed garlic cloves or 2 teaspoons garlic paste
- 2 teaspoons ginger paste
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 tablespoons peanut or vegetable oil
- 1 bunch broccolini, halved crossways and stems halved lengthways
- 2 carrots, peeled and very thinly sliced
- Rice, sweet chilli sauce, and coriander leaves (if liked), to serve
Method
Pat pork dry with paper towel. Combine sesame oil, garlic and ginger in a bowl. Add pork. Stir pork to coat in mixture. Set aside for 10 minutes.
For the stir fry sauce, combine soy sauce and honey in a bowl. Set aside.
Heat a wok over high heat. Add 1 tablespoon oil and swirl around the wok. Stir-fry pork in 2 batches for 2-3 minutes or until just cooked through. Transfer to a bowl.
Heat the remaining 1 tablespoon oil in the wok. Add broccolini. Stir-fry for 1 minute. Add 2 teaspoons water. Quickly cover and cook for 30 seconds or until vibrant.
Add pork and juices, carrots and the soy sauce mixture. Stir-fry for 2 minutes or until hot.
Serve with rice, sweet chilli sauce and coriander leaves (if liked).
